Itinerary

Your 3-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour will begin with a pick-up from your riad or hotel. We’ll then travel over the Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane and Azrou.

We’ll make a pit stop in the cedar forests along the road to observe the barbarian apes in their native environment. As you reach the city of Errachidia, the terrain changes to give clues of the desert as you cross through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and travel down the stunning Ziz Gorges cut by volcanic rock. Views of the Middle-Atlas plateau may be seen along the way.

We’ll continue travelling through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga after lunch. After a cup of mint tea, we’ll leave our belongings in a secure location and ride camels to a Berber camp in the centre of the tallest dunes in North Africa, the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes. To put up Berber tents for our desert night, the camel trek from the camp takes roughly one and a half hours.

The tents come fully furnished with pillows, blankets, and beds. We shall assemble around the fire following dinner to listen to the sounds of traditional Berber drums while gazing at the skies. The first day of our Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour has come to a conclusion.

We will witness a breathtaking sunrise over the sand sea. After a sumptuous breakfast and a hot shower in the tent, we will again travel on camels or, as an alternative, 4WD to Merzouga.

Then, we will depart from the Sahara sand and travel to Tinghir, often known as “the city of the mountain,” in the Tamazight region of Morocco. Here, in this additional lovely Berber community, we will be delighted by the contrast between their palm trees and the unusual colour of their homes. route where the contrasts in the landscape are seen.

We are in the Todra Gorges, which are formed by rock walls more than 200 metres high. After exploring them, we’ll travel to the Dades Valley, a Berber community renowned for its lofty gorges and its vistas of the Atlas, which is now visible in the distance. Second night in a charming riad during the Fes to Marrakech desert tour.

Our 3-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour concludes with a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate on the final day. En route, we will travel via the Valley of the Dades and the Valley of the Roses.

After travelling about 25 kilometres, we will arrive at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is well-known for serving as the backdrop for blockbuster movies including the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia,” “The Protective Sky,” and “Babel.”

We will continue on the route across the Tizi N-Tichka pass and the breathtaking High Atlas mountain scenery until we reach Marrakech, often known as the “Red City,” where you can bid your guide farewell.
